With current COVID-19 conditions, have a plan in place if your child's class, grade or school transitions to virtual learning.

With the growing number of COVID-related situations in our schools and the community, Dorchester District Two school operations are increasingly being impacted. The primary concern is for the health and safety of our students and staff. But also, the increased number of positive and quarantined employees has presented a challenge to safely and adequately staff positions critical to school operations.

We ask families to have a plan in place should your child be affected by a transition to temporary virtual learning. Please note every school has unique operating circumstances, therefore the district will use a range of absenteeism percentages along with community and state reports to assist in the determination of the need for temporary virtual learning.

Families will be notified from their school if your child is involved in a class, grade or school transition to temporary virtual learning. Please visit ddtwo.org/COVID-19 for a listing of classes, grades, and schools that have transitioned to temporary virtual learning.

Also, please be reminded, Dorchester School District Two continues to offer free COVID-19 testing for district students and staff at the testing center, located at 115 Devon Road in Cottage 28 (behind Knightsville Elementary School): Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. For Monday, January 17th ONLY, testing hours will be: 12:00 noon - 5:00 pm.
