Community Hosts Parade for Super Bowl Champion, FDHS Graduate

Join us on Thursday, March 23, as our community celebrates Carlos Dunlap, Super Bowl LVII Champion and member of the Fort Dorchester High School Class of 2007!

Starting at 9:00 a.m., the parade will leave the parking lot at Faith Church, 3001 Landing Parkway, North Charleston, and head toward River Oaks Middle School and Eagle Nest Elementary School. The public viewing route will be on the sidewalks along Appian Way between Dorchester Road and River Oaks Drive.

After Mr. Dunlap visits students at ROMS and ENES, at approximately 9:45 a.m. the parade will reach the intersection of Appian Way and Patriot Boulevard. The parade will join the FDHS Marching Band and U.S. Air Force JROTC SC-933 and head to the FDHS stadium for a public ceremony at 10 a.m. Presenters include Dorchester School District Two Superintendent Dr. Shane Robbins, Rep. Chris Murphy, North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey, District Athletics Director Tyronne Drakeford, FDHS Principal Tripp Aldredge, and Mr. Dunlap’s former high school coach, Steve LaPrad. The public celebration will conclude at 10:30 a.m.

We appreciate the Carlos Dunlap Foundation, the City of North Charleston, and the North Charleston Police Department for helping to make this community celebration possible.
