A Message From Karen Radcliffe 4/29
Good Evening, this is Karen Radcliffe, principal at Ashley Ridge.
I hope all of our students are continuing to work hard in all of their courses. Over the next two weeks it is extremely important that all students continue to turn in work. All work is due by Friday, May 15th.
Students should continue to complete assignments and submit the completed work as requested by teachers. If your student is unable to submit work electronically, we will collect paper copies of work on Thursday, April 30th 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Ashley Ridge. You should enter the 2nd entrance. You will receive a large envelope for which to put all of the work into. Students need to put their name and the teacher’s name on each assignment. We will have boxes available to put the envelopes into. You will not leave your cars. All assignments turned in will be given to the correct teachers. A copy of the map that we will use is posted on Facebook, Twitter, and the AR web site.
Underclassmen will be able to pick up yearbooks on Thursday, April 30th. We have 80 additional yearbooks available to purchase. The cost is $75.00 – cash or check. We will use the following pick-up times: 8:00-8:45 – Seniors Only, 8:45-9:45 – A – E; 9:45-10:45-F-J; 10:45-11:45 –K-O; 11:45-12:45-P-T; 12:45-1:45 – T-Z. Please adhere to these times or you will be waiting in a very long line. For yearbook pick-up, please enter the 3rd entrance and continue to the back to the school.
If seniors did not pick up their graduation supplies last Friday, seniors can pick the supplies up on Thursday, April 30th from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Ashley Ridge. Please enter the 2nd entrance.
We will collect athletic uniforms and Senior ROTC uniforms on Thursday, April 30th from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM. ROTC uniforms should be dry cleaned and hanging on hangers. Athletic uniforms should be clean and bagged in order to be given to the coach.
We are looking forward to the Ashley Ridge Light the Night for the Class of 2020 on Friday, May 1st at 8:20 – 9:00 PM at Ashley Ridge. I have attached a map for Friday on the AR web site, Facebook and Twitter. This is an event for only our seniors and parents of seniors. During this parade of seniors, nobody will be allowed out of their cars. Seniors will enter the 2nd entrance and follow the traffic pattern. We would love for seniors to decorate their cars.
For the Class of 2020, we are working on finalizing the graduation program and Senior Awards Night. The deadline to turn in all senior awards, scholarships, and acceptance letters is Monday, May 11th. You can send this information electronically, or you can drop it off during the work drop-off days. It is extremely important that we receive all of your senior's information. We want to be able to recognize them in the graduation program and at Senior Awards Night.
Senior Awards Night is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20th at 6:30 PM. This will be a virtual awards ceremony. More details will be forthcoming.
I can’t thank everybody enough for continuing to fill the AR blessing box. It continues to help a lot of families.
Thanks and have a great evening.
