Ms. Kimberly Golden

Assistant Principal

Hello!  My name is Kimberly Golden, and I am coming from Alston-Bailey Elementary where I was the Administrative Intern this year.  Last year, I was the Administrative Intern at Oakbrook Elementary. Prior to my internships, I taught 4th grade GATE and 5th grade GATE at OES.  Before coming to DD2, I taught 5th grade at Chicora Elementary in  Charleston County and 4th grade at Richmond Drive Elementary in Rock Hill School District.

I was born and raised in Rock Hill, South Carolina.  I attended Winthrop University for my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education in 2002 and then my graduate degree in Educational Leadership in 2008.  Fast forward to the present day, my daughter is an 8th grader at Rollings, and my step-son, Ryan, graduated from Syracuse University this past summer and is currently in the graduate program at American University.

A few years ago, my husband and I decided we wanted to live closer to the beach, so we made the decision to move to the Charleston area.  My husband, Jon, is a high school English teacher in Berkeley School District.

I am excited to be a Sandpiper at SHES!
