Welcome to Sand Hill Elementary School, where our Sandpipers “Learn, Grow, and Serve!”  Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.  I am excited and honored to enter my third year as principal of this great school.

Originally from a small town in Horry County, South Carolina, I attended Clemson University many years ago. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and my Masters of Education in Special Education during those wonderful years in the hills of Tigertown.  I am currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in School Improvement from the University of West Georgia.

I became a member of Team Dorchester over 25 years ago as a teacher at Oakbrook Middle School.  Though I have had experiences throughout South Carolina and Georgia, DD2 was and will always be home for me.  I cannot imagine going through the unprecedented year we just experienced with any other community.  Though challenging, our exceptional students, staff, and families thrived in the midst of it all.

We are looking forward to more incredible accomplishments during the 2021-2022 school year.  Sand Hill Elementary School will remain committed to excellence and building a community of life-long learners.  It’s going to be a phenomenal year! If I can be of assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me.
