Though this will be her first year as assistant principal at River Oaks Middle School, Mrs. Gammons previously served in that role for 8 years at Ashley Ridge High School. After graduating from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a minor in African American Studies, Mrs. Gammons moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia, where she taught for 10 years. While there, she obtained her Master’s degree in education and school administration from Cambridge College. Mrs. Gammons truly believes in the value of education, and knows it is the key to life’s many opportunities. Not only does she enjoy working with children, she also strives to build relationships with parents, family, and school staff in order to ensure each student’s success.
Mrs. Gammons’ hobbies include reading, exercising, spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling. Mrs. Gammons loves learning languages, and is fluent in both English and Spanish. She is passionate about education and couldn’t imagine dedicating her life to anything else.
