Each year, thousands of individuals enhance their lives by participating in the adult/community education programs throughout Dorchester County. Our residents return to school for a variety of reasons: complete high school credentials; learn computer skills, brush up for entry into Trident Technical College or other post-secondary training; improve reading, writing, vocabulary and math skills; learn specific workplace skills for employment, or employment upgrade; earn a WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate or a WIN Ready to Work Credential at the Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum Level.

Whatever their reason for returning to school, the Adult Education Program in Dorchester County meets their needs. The unprecedented quality of courses offered during the day and evening makes our program one of the best in South Carolina and the United States! Each year an average of 2,400 Dorchester residents take advantage of the courses and workshops throughout the county.
