Degrees and Certifications:
Hello Parents and Students,
This is my second year teaching here at the Fort. This year on top of teaching Earth Science and Intro to Engineering and Desig, I will also be coaching B-Team football and am the head boys Track coach. I am from Charleston, SC and am a graduate or Wando High School. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Marine Science in 2012 and Master's of Arts in Teaching in 2017, both from Coastal Carolina University. (CI-NO, COASTAL IS NUMBER ONE!)
In my professional career I have previously worked for both the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources as a sea turtle biologist and as a fisheries observer for the National Marine Fisheries Service. I am an avid outdoorsman and enjoy spending any free time I have in the woods or on a boat fishing, shrimping, and hunting with my friends and family.
I have worked in both Alaska in the Bering Sea and Gulf of Alaska as well as in Canada off of the Grand Banks while working for the National Marine Fisheries Service allowing me to meet some of the cast from Deadliest Catch and getting to see a lot of scenery and wildlife that not many can claim to have seen.
I look forward to working with you all during my teaching career and feel free to stop in and say “hey†any time. GO PATRIOTS!
