Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Olin has been teaching for Dorchester District Two for the past 5 years. Originally from New York, she has 18 years experience as an ELA teacher and Reading Interventionist. After graduating from Binghamton University with a degree in Psychology, Mrs. Olin took a position working as a Social Worker in New York. She quickly realized her love of working with children, and she decided to become a teacher. Soon after moving to Florida, she became certified to teach, and has been in the classroom ever since.
Mrs. Olin has taught grades 3-12. She is a Reading Specialist and has taught Reading Intervention and Read 180 at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
She lives in Summerville with her husband, Dan. He also shares her passion for education and teaches high school Carpentry. They have one son, Danny, who attends FDHS. Besides spending time with her family, she also enjoys her three adorable dogs. She also volunteers at several animal rescues in the area.
