Mrs. Amy Zion Spivey
Hello parents!! My name is Amy Spivey and I have been in education for 20 years. This is my first year at Newington Elementary. I have taught in Lexington School District 2, Horry County, Lexington-Richland School District 5, and Valdosta City Schools in Valdosta, Georgia. I have taught 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade and was a Literacy Coach for a year. I am married to a football coach and have three beautiful boys! They play baseball, soccer and football. We are a very busy family, but I love every second! Being a teacher was always a dream of mine. Teaching children is my passion and I strive every day to help my students succeed. You will be amazed how much your child will grow this year. I am looking forward to a great year. Welcome to my class and welcome to THIRD GRADE!!!!
If your child had a great day there will be a little sticker at the bottom of his/her agenda. If not, I use “behavior labels” that highlight the rule(s) that were broken.
Go home every Wednesday (please look over all materials and return any forms and test papers back the next day.)
Read every night for at least 20 min. (Write the title and page number in agendas) & study when needed
Please review your child's agenda and initial at the bottom.
