First Grade Homework: Read every night! Your child should come home with a clear folder daily. Have your child read the book in it to you. If it comes home without a book, use a library book or a book from home. If the library book or book from home is too hard for your child to read, you can read it to him/her; there is still a lot of benefit to reading to your child. Practice retelling what is read! 

Practice sight words (in plastic sleeve in the blue folder). Practice spelling words on the newsletter in the plastic sleeve in the blue folder. No homework needs to be turned in!
