Middle School Athletics

  • Dorchester District Two offers the following middle school sports for 7th and 8th-grade students: basketball, volleyball, and wrestling.

     

    SHS Junior Varsity

    Middle school softball and baseball programs will be absorbed into the high school programs. DMS students interested in playing baseball and softball are encouraged to try out for junior varsity. Summerville High School will field a B-Team football team comprised of 7th and 8th graders.

    Summerville High also offers junior varsity cheerleading and soccer.

Step 1: You must have an updated physical and be in good academic standing.

    • The physical must be dated on or after 4/1/2022 for the 22-23 school year. 
    • Must be in great academic and behavioral standing.

Step 2: Compile ALL the necessary documents.

    • All paperwork must be uploaded/submitted to Planet HS no later than --/-- .
      • Medical History Form 
      • Pre-Participation Physical Form 
      • Parent Permission Form 
      • Birth Certificate 
      • Concussion Acknowledgement Form
      • Video to help with Planet HS.
