Mrs. Cariene Keadle

Lights! Action!  The door opens on Mrs. Keadle's 18th year of teaching third grade at Windsor Hill Arts Infused Elementary School.  Like Brer Rabbit, Mrs. Keadle has found her briar patch in the classroom.  Teaching is her passion.  Hugs, smiles, the laughter of children while learning, are always center stage!

Mrs. Keadle's goal is to empower her students to take ownership of their learning; become critical thinkers; problem solvers; community leaders; and to utilize their diverse and individual talents to the fullest.

Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, Mrs. Keadle entered Tallahassee Community College at the age of 16 and acquired her Associate of Arts degree in 1977.  She majored in Speech Communications and Theatre at Wesleyan College for Women in Macon, Georgia, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1980.

Returning to Tallahassee, Mrs. Keadle worked as an instructor in The Young Actor's Studio and as an Administrative Assistant in the Mayor's Office while beginning graduate studies in Business Administration at Florida State University.

Her plans changed when she met and married Richard Keadle.  They moved to Summerville, in 1988.  While working as the Coordinator of Tourism Management for the City of Charleston she became involved with the Cities and Schools Program.  Mrs. Keadle felt led to enter the classroom.  Therefore, she obtained her Master of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Education at the University of Charleston in 2001.  Since August of that year, she has called Windsor Hill her 'happy place'!  :D
