Ms. Green

My name is Jessica Green (soon to be Mrs. Mooney), and I am excited to be your 6th grade ELA ACE teacher! I started out as an elementary school teacher, but teaching middle school is my calling! This school year is going to be challenging, but fun! I am an advocate. I want everyone, including students, parents, and teachers to feel comfortable in my classroom. It is my goal to provide a warm and supportive environment for all!

I earned a bachelor’s of science degree in elementary education from University of Maryland, College Park, and I have a master’s of education degree in teaching, learning, and advocacy from the College of Charleston. If I could go to school for the rest of my life, I would! I love to keep up with current educational research and policy, and believe that all students deserve an equitable education, regardless of their background.

I grew up in Maryland, but have been here in Charleston for 4 years now. I am the future Mrs. Mooney! I am getting married this April to my wonderful fiancé Eric. We have 2 cats, Cali and Oscar, and 1 dog, Murphy. I cherish my family. My parents and sister still live in Maryland, so I go home to visit whenever I can. I value honesty, responsibility, and kindness. I like to have a positive outlook on life. You will always find me singing and dancing! I love to be outdoors, and I love food!
