I'm pleased to share that beginning in the Fall of 2020, I will be teaching chorus as well as piano! This is something I have been working toward for the last two years. I will teach one section of piano and one section of chorus per each grade level. Piano will have 6th grade on a quarterly rotation and 7th grade will be year-long to support the Piano 1 CP class for 8th grade. Non-CP students may take Piano 8 with instructor approval. The plan for chorus is for me to teach women's ensembles of various levels. I'm excited to work with our young ladies and develop their voices, musicianship, and teamwork. Stay tuned for more information and check out www.greggchoirs.org.

I am entering my third year at Gregg and I'm excited to continue working with students from last year and meet new students this year in both piano and chorus. Piano is the best foundation instrument and is accessible to all. My classes meet students at their skill level. We work together on fundamentals of music like articulation, dynamics, and theory, and of course hands-on coordination. Piano is a difficult instrument but highly rewarding. Hard work pays off!
I am married to a wonderful husband who is a military and airline pilot. We are both originally from out of state (Michigan and Maryland) and have moved a few times, but Charleston is where we have lived the most years together and it feels like home. In addition to being part of the GMS family, I am a section leader in the Grace Church Cathedral Choir, a singer in the Charleston Symphony Orchestra Chorus and long-time soprano in the Taylor Festival Choir. I'm looking forward to putting my choral expertise to work in the fall!
