Dr. Chuck Hamilton
This is my 17th year at GMS! I was born in Canton, OH in 1974. I lived in Ohio and Minnesota for several years before moving to South Carolina at the age of 8. I grew up in Irmo, SC and graduated from Irmo High School (go Yellowjackets!) in 1991. After that, I came to Charleston to attend Charleston Southern University (go Bucs!), graduating with a degree in English in 1995.
After graduating from CSU, I attended Columbia International University, where I earned a Master’s degree in ESL in 1997. Afterwards, I moved to Andijon, Uzbekistan where I lived and taught English for some time. Afterwards, I moved to Charleston to help start a small, private ESL school in the local area. I eventually decided to teach in the public school system, and came to work at Gregg (go Mustangs!). Recently, I finished my Doctorate of Education from the University of South Carolina (go Gamecocks!).
I am married with three kids. I love to read, watch movies, travel to new places, and play music. I play several instruments and play bass in a local Irish band (Erin go bragh!)
