My name is Lori Gladis and I teach Spanish at Gregg Middle School.  I am originally from Minnesota and received my Bachelor’s degree from Augustana University and my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership through Southwest Minnesota State University.  While in Minnesota, I taught high school Spanish for 11 years before my husband and I decided that we could not stand the harsh winters anymore and moved to beautiful sunny South Carolina.  This will be my sixth year teaching in South Carolina, and my third year at Gregg.

I am married with two children and love spending time with them in my free time.  I also enjoy riding bike, kayaking, going to the beach and almost anything else outdoors.  I also have a love for traveling and am always thinking of what trip my family can take next.

While you or your student are in my class, participation will be key.  My goal is for students to learn what they need through a variety of in class activities.  However, I also do encourage them to review their vocabulary 5-10 minutes each night and to make sure they are learning 3-4 words a day.

My classes will be using schoology to access all of our information.  You can sign up for a student account with your chosen username and password and the appropriate code listed below.  Schoology contains class handouts, PowerPoints, links for vocabulary games and videos explaining our grammar topics.
