In May of 2017, I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Special Education, in intellectual and emotional/behavior disabilities, and a minor in Spanish from the College of Charleston.
Ms. Manuela Chaverra
I was born in Medellin, Colombia, South America. When I was four years old, I moved to Greenville, SC and graduated from Mauldin High School. I attended College of Charleston, and decided to stay and start my career in Charleston! I teach the Autism self-contained class here. I am fluent in English and Spanish. I enjoy traveling, boxing, watching soccer, and smiling (a lot!). This is my 2nd year teaching & my 2nd year at Oakbrook Middle School. In 2018, I was awarded Rookie Teacher of the Year for OMS and Honor Rookie Teacher of the Year for the district!
