River Oaks Middle School has transitioned to Distance Learning beginning March 18^th through March 31^st. During this time, I will have office hours Monday – Friday from 10:00am-11:00am and 2:00pm-3:00pm where I will be available to check and respond to any email correspondence. 

Student Learning Packets are available to all ROMS students, specified by grade level. These packets can also be accessed under the Class Files & Handouts link, as well as on the main page of the ROMS website.

Welcome to the River Oaks Middle School Steel Band Program! I am Mr. Talbert, the Director of the River Oaks MS Steel Band Program. I am from Ninety Six, South Carolina, and a 2007 graduate of Ninety Six High School. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina in 2011. I started teaching steel band in the Dorchester 2 School District in 2013. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Tyra, my daughter, Addison, and my boxer dog, KJ. This is my 7th year at ROMS, and I am looking forward to another fantastic year!
