Ms. Price

Welcome to my page!

My name is Madison Price. I am so excited to be teaching 6th Grade ELA at ROMS. 6th grade is a whole, bright, new world for many students. I understand that the transition this year is a large one, but I want to let you know ahead of time that I am here to be a part of that change, for you and your student, in the most supportive way I know how- while lighting a passion for reading and writing along the way. Long before I decided that education would be the career path I would choose, I had a love for all things writing and reading. For years, I have enjoyed blogging, writing short stories and poetry. I have found my passions through the education that I recieved both k-12 and college level. My goal each day is to help your student to search for their own passions through the lens of ELA.

A little about me: I was raised on a farm in the small town of Saluda, SC. My family still lives there, with our horses, cows, chickens and 3 dogs. I have 2 brothers. I have 1 sister-in-law, and a beautiful niece named Leigh. I love going home to visit. Family is a big part of my life. I graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in Middle Grades Education and have my teaching certification in Middle Level ELA.

6th grade English Language Arts covers a wide variety of standards that will encompass both reading and writing.

My personal mission is to create an environment where your learner can be challenged academically, cared for, and empowered.
