River Oaks Middle School has transitioned to Distance Learning beginning March 18^th through March 31^st. During this time, I will have office hours Monday – Friday from 10:00am-11:00am and 2:00pm-3:00pm where I will be available to check and respond to any email correspondence. 

Student Learning Packets are available to all ROMS students, specified by grade level. These packets can also be accessed under the Class Files & Handouts link, as well as on the main page of the ROMS website.

Welcome to Mrs. Barrett’s page! I am excited to be here at ROMS for my second year. I graduated from the College of Charleston with a major in Special Education. I am the self-contained ELA and Science teacher here at ROMS for grades 6, 7, and 8! I grew up in Texas, but I have lived here in South Carolina for over ten years now. My favorite part about South Carolina is the incredible history! I have eight siblings (2 brothers and 6 sisters) and love spending time with my family! I also have a dog and a cat and love to talk to my students about their pets too. My #1 priority is building relationships with my students so that I can help them learn and grow to their greatest potential!! Let’s have a great school year!
