River Oaks Middle School has transitioned to Distance Learning beginning March 18^th through March 31^st. During this time, I will have office hours Monday – Friday from 10:00am-11:00am and 2:00pm-3:00pm where I will be available to check and respond to any email correspondence. 

Student Learning Packets are available to all ROMS students, specified by grade level. These packets can also be accessed under the Class Files & Handouts link, as well as on the main page of the ROMS website.

Hello and welcome to ROMS! My name is Eric Hanks and I am delighted to be teaching at River Oaks Middle for my eleventh year. I am your sixth grade GATE ELA teacher: along with, Advanced Composition and Literature and English 1 Honors within the 8th grade.

The classes will be using "My Blackboard" as one of their their primary websites.
