Mrs. Kelley Smith

I have been a special education teacher for 31 years. This is my 18th year at Alston Middle I hold a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Special Education and could not imagine being in any other profession besides teaching. I believe that all students have a right to learn and to be in school. I am a supporter of inclusive schools and I love that Alston includes all students in classes and activities. My mission for the Moderate ID class is to help my students become as independent as possible so that they can be as independent as possible at home and in their community.
