Ms. Palazzolo is teaching her third year at ROMS, as the school library media specialist. Her passions are focused on digital literacy and engaging students in the digital arts. Although Ms. Palazzolo is originally from New York traveled south to attend school at the College of Charleston and earned her Bachelor's degree in elementary education there. At the end of her studies there, Ms. Palazzolo won the Ken Bower award, which is awarded to the education student who has the most passion for teaching.

Shortly after, she received her Master's in Library and Information Science from the University of Rhode Island with a focus on digital literacy. She's happy to put her studies into practice at River Oaks with the use of the green screen room, iPad, and STEAM grant initiatives. She hopes to earn her doctorate in the future. 

She loves what she does and is always willing to help! Ms. Palazzolo is also an active member of many committees and clubs including Library Cadets, Morning News Crew, Gardening Club, Jr. Beta Club, Theater/Stage Crew, Sunshine Committee, Read to Succeed Literacy Committee, Leadership Team, Spelling Bee, and acts as the media liaison for River Oaks.

During her free time, Ms. Palazzolo enjoys exploring the downtown Charleston area, reading, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and hanging out with her adopted cat Cleo.
