New Hire Professional Development Onboarding

We are pleased that you have chosen Dorchester School District Two to be your place of employment!

New Hire Professional Development Onboarding is a series of personalized trainings over the summer designed to integrate New Hires into Dorchester School District Two that allows new employees to complete REQUIRED trainings needed PRIOR to the FIRST DAY OF WORK. New Hires also learn about the school district and its structure, culture, vision, mission, core values, beliefs and protocols.

    Professional Learning (PL)
  • Stipends:
    Provided to those who complete New Hire Professional Onboarding sessions during the designated time period. 

New Hires who do not complete the New Hire Professional Development Onboarding during the designated time period (stipend included) will be required to complete them once under contract. This may require afternoon sessions beyond the regular school day. Stipends will not be provided for the required trainings during the new hire’s contract period.

There may be additional Required training necessary for employment and/or positions; however, all of them are not required to be completed prior to the first day of work.  These include trainings such as Vector Solutions, Active Shooter training, Erin’s Law, Signs Matter, Bloodborne Pathogens, etc.  Opportunities may be provided prior to the start of the school year for all staff to complete other required trainings as well as on District Staff Development the first week 190-day employees report to work for the 2025-2026 school year.
