PATHWAY

We are excited to offer our Pathway program again for our 6-8 students.

PATHWAY is a challenging 15-day program for artistically gifted and talented students in grades 6-8 who currently live within the Dorchester School District Two attendance area.

Summer Program: 

You may apply for PATHWAY if you are: 

  • Currently in grades 6-8 and reside within the DD2 attendance zone.
  • Committed to spending four Saturdays and two weeks in the summer to improving your creative and artistic skills.
  • You have an interest in - creative writing, dance, theatre, visual arts, vocal music,  band, orchestra, piano, or steel drums.  

Who May Audition?
ALL students in grades 6 through 8 who currently reside in the Dorchester School District Two attendance area may audition.

What if I have attended Gateway? Do I have to audition? 
All students who have auditioned and been accepted to GATEWAY are identified and will be accepted into PATHWAY. Students will still need to audition for chair placement in the various activities. Those students who are choosing a different core will need to audition again for eligibility in the new core area. 

Attendance Policy 
Each student chosen for the program must make a commitment to attend all 15 program days and participate in the performance showcase. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the program. We cannot make refunds if a student does not complete the program. 

Cost
Students who are accepted will be asked to pay a $150 fee. If you have a financial hardship, please contact the GFAC at 843-832-5532. Scholarships are available. Fees are non-refundable.  No student will be turned away for inability to pay fees.
