Parent & Family Engagement Centers

Dorchester School District Two Parent and Family Engagement Centers are a free resource offered to parents living in the Dorchester District 2 school district.

Our Purpose

Our mission is to collaborate with and empower parents and caregivers as active partners in their child’s education, while creating opportunities for all children and families to build a strong foundation for learning, creativity, social awareness, and confidence through shared engagement activities at the centers.

Hours

The parenting centers are open during the school year from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Story Times (reading, crafting, singing, playing) are offered at each parenting center Monday – Friday mornings. Please refer to each center’s Story Times schedule to choose the best options for your family. These experiences are designed with children ages 0-5 in mind, however families with children of all ages are welcome to participate. Resources (games, books, STEM activities, multilingual support) can be checked out anytime the centers are open.

About our Centers

The Parent and Family Engagement Centers are dedicated to fostering strong partnerships between families, schools, and the community by providing a welcoming inclusive space where all families feel valued and supported. We have four centers to serve you! Families are invited to utilize our FREE resources for their student as well as attend our popular Story Times, where children engage with text and participate in interactive experiences such as movement activities and hands-on crafts.
