Senior Citizens Program

More than 1,000 residents of the Dorchester School District Two attendance area have special privileges when they use their Senior Citizens Privilege Cards at school and district events and programs this coming school year.

The Senior Citizen Privilege Program is offered by the school district as a way to encourage the involvement of senior residents, age 60 or above, in the schools of our community. Their involvement and support of our school district is valued and appreciated. This program is a way that Dorchester School District Two can show appreciation for the support of the community.

Cardholders in the program are entitled to the following:

  • free admission to all home athletic events for the three high schools with the exception of state playoffs
  • free admission to most band and choral concerts and other school activities for which admission is charged
  • a 25% discount on enrollment fees for adult and community education classes at the Dorchester County Community Learning Center

The privilege card has no expiration date so it is valid as long as program participants live in the Dorchester School District Two attendance area. Residents age 60 or over and who live in the Dorchester School District Two attendance area may apply for a card by coming to the Public Information Office, 815 S. Main Street, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. By simply completing a short application form and showing proof of age, applicants will be issued their Senior Citizen Privilege Card immediately.
