Three Cheers for Superintendent Chad Daugherty

The Board of Trustees met on April 14, 2025, and approved Chad Daugherty as the Dorchester School District Two Superintendent effective immediately. Mr. Daugherty signed a three-year contract to serve as Superintendent for the students, families, and staff of DDTwo.

Mr. Daugherty has served as Deputy Superintendent of Dorchester School District Two since 2022. Prior to joining the district, he held various leadership roles in the Huntington County Community School Corporation (HCCSC), including Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, secondary principal, assistant principal, teacher, and coach. His extensive experience in education and leadership spans nearly three decades and will provide continuity and stability as the district moves forward.

Mr. Daugherty said, “I am very excited about the opportunity to work with our Board of Trustees, students, parents, staff members, and community partners to ensure DD2 remains a leader in student achievement and continues to prepare students to be college and career-ready.” 

Mr. Daugherty enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their five children, especially exploring the outdoors and taking family trips together.
