Spring EOCEP High School Testing Information

The End-of-Course Assessment Program (EOCEP) is a statewide assessment program of end-of-course tests for gateway courses awarded units of credit in English/language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Gateway courses are defined by the State Board of Education and are currently defined as Algebra 1, Intermedia Algebra, Biology 1, English 2, and United States History and the Constitution. EOCEP examination scores count 20 percent in calculation of the student’s final grade.

High School students who are enrolled in an EOCEP (End of Course Examination Program) course will participate in Spring EOCEP testing on the dates listed below. In Dorchester School District Two, the assessments will be administered on the following dates and are scheduled to begin approximately 30 minutes after the instructional day has begun.

EOCEP Testing Schedule

  • EOC English 2 Writing (May 14)
  • EOC English 2 Reading (May 15)
  • EOC US History and EOC Algebra 1 (May 18)
  • EOC Biology 1 (May 19)

  • The EOCEP Information for Parents site contains brochures, translations, sample score reports, Writer’s Checklists, Score Report User’s Guide, Online Training Tools, Sample Items, and alternate format requests.
