Oakbrook Middle School Welcomes Dr. Heidi Guerry as New Principal

During its May 18, 2026 meeting, the Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Dr. Heidi Guerry as Principal of Oakbrook Middle School (OMS).
 
Dr. Guerry, who currently serves as Assistant Principal at East Edisto Middle School since 2024, has more than 18 years of experience in education. Her previous roles have included Assistant Principal at Ashley Ridge High School, CTE program coordinator for Berkeley County School District, and CTE Department Chair/Marketing and Business Education teacher at Cane Bay High School.
 
A graduate of the College of Charleston, Dr. Guerry earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing. She later earned a Master of Business Administration from Charleston Southern University, a Master of Arts in Secondary Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.
 
“I am honored and excited to be joining the Oakbrook Middle School community,” said Dr. Guerry. “Oakbrook has a strong foundation, a dedicated team, and unlimited potential to drive continuous improvement for our students. I look forward to working alongside staff, students, families, and the community to build strong relationships and trust as we move Oakbrook forward into its next chapter.”

Outside of school, Dr. Guerry enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys going out on the boat, watching plays in Charleston, and being involved in church activities.
