Excellent Overall Rating:

  • Rollings Middle School of the Arts
  • William M. Reeves Elementary School

Of the remaining schools: Eight earned a Good Overall Rating and nine earned an Average Overall Rating. DDTwo is proud to report that none of its schools were rated Below Average or Unsatisfactory.

Percent Increase Over Last Year:

  • SC Ready English Language Arts: 5.9% point increase
  • SC Ready Mathematics: 2.9% point increase
  • EOC English 2 - Scoring C or Higher: 4.6% point increase
  • EOC Algebra - Scoring C or Higher: 1.4% point increase
  • SC Ready Science - 56.2% Met or Exceeding
  • EOC Biology - Scoring C or Higher: 1.2% point increase
  • US History and the Constitution - Scoring C or Higher: 5% point increase
  • Multilingual Learners - Achieved Language Level Proficiency: 5% point increase
  • DDTwo Graduation Rate ranked 16 of 82 school districts.
  • DDTwo ranked 13th in SC for percentage of College Ready students.
  • DDTwo ranked 17th in SC for percentage of Career Ready students.
  • High School Student Success: 88.3%
  • Overall Percentage of Student Progress Points Earned (Growth): 47.6%
  • Overall Perceptions of School Climate: 6.99 out of 10

RISE Readers Program:

RISE Academy partnered with Alston-Bailey Elementary School to inspire literacy, leadership, and community connection as RISE students shared stories with elementary students and senior citizens.

C.A.R.T. Update - Nov 5, 2025 Meeting

  1. Safety & Security - all schools are 85% complete
  2. ARHS Classrooms - Phase 1 complete
  3. SHES - Classroom addition nearing completion
  4. District has spent 24% of Referendum funding to date.

Action Items:

  1. Approved: Resolution for Expenditure of Referendum Funding for Yerby Area Elementary Classrooms at KES & WRES

    • Adds 30-35 new classrooms - equivalent to an elementary school of 750 students
    • Alleviates Orangeburg Road Project Safety Issues at KES
    • Includes school expansion projects
      • KES: cafeteria, multi-purpose room
      • WRES: cafeteria, kitchen
  2. Approved: Partnership with the Town of Summerville - Delegate authority to Superintendent to donate a portion of 901 McKissick Way (Skate Park) for community enhancement.

Safety & Security Update

  • StopIt Anonymous Reporting App - Available 24 hours a day to assist students
  • Open Gate Screenings at Middle Schools - Vapes are being recovered
  • SCDE Mapping Project - All schools will be mapped and placed into a state database.
