Michelle Jacques Named Executive Director of Special Services

The Board of Trustees approved Michelle Jacques as Executive Director of Special Services during its meeting on February 9, 2026. Ms. Jacques, who currently serves as Interim Executive Director of Special Services, will officially begin her new role in July 2026.

Ms. Jacques brings 27 years of experience in education to the position, including five years in administrative leadership. She has served DDTwo as Assistant Director of Special Services since 2021 and as Special Education Coordinator since 2013. Prior to entering administration, Ms. Jacques spent 13 years as a School Psychologist, supporting students, families, and educators.

A graduate of Winthrop University, Ms. Jacques earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1996. She later obtained a Master of Arts in Psychology and an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology from The Citadel.

“I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve as Executive Director of Special Services,” said Michelle Jacques. “It is a privilege to support the dedicated educators, support staff, administrators and parents across our district. My focus will remain on the development and provision of high-quality special education programming where every student is supported, valued and experiences growth.”
