Fall Abilities Testing FAQs

September 15th through October 21st

 

Who Can Test?

  • All students in grades 3-8 who are not state identified gifted by the state and who have not taken the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) this school year.

 

What is the Test?

The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) is an assessment used to identify students for GT in Dimension A.

 

When and Where is the Testing?

  • Testing will occur in November.
  • The testing will take place at the students' home schools.
  • Parents are not responsible for anything after the initial sign-up.

 

Why Test?

Beyond potential GT state identification, this assessment provides rich data to help you better understand your learner.
