Dorchester School District Two Outperforms State Averages
Dorchester School District Two (DD2) is proud to announce that our students in grades 3–8 outperformed state averages in both English Language Arts and math on SC Ready as well as on End-of-Course Exams.
“This achievement reflects the collective efforts of our dedicated educators, support staff, and instructional leaders who work daily to provide high-quality teaching aligned with state standards,” said Superintendent Chad Daugherty. “Through strong Professional Learning Communities, targeted interventions, and robust instructional support, DD2 ensures every student receives the tools they need to thrive. We are also deeply grateful for the ongoing partnership of our families and community, whose support is vital to student success.”
2025 DDTwo SC Ready ELA Highlights
- ELA “Meets and Exceeds Expectation” percentages are above state percentages at all grade levels.
- ELA “Meets and Exceeds Expectation” percentages continue to outperform pre-pandemic performance at all grade levels.
2025 DDTwo SC Ready Math Highlights
- Math “Meets and Exceeds Expectation” percentages are above state percentages at all grade levels.
- Over the last four years, the percentage of students earning “Not Meets” has decreased, while simultaneously the percentage of students earning “Exceeds” has increased.
2025 DDTwo End-of-Course Examination Program (EOCEP) Highlights
- DDTwo’s average performance on all four End-of-Course Exams exceeded state averages.
- DDTwo achieved the state’s 75% proficiency goal for student achievement on the English 2 EOCEP.
- DDTwo increased performance on the average scores in English 2, U.S. History, and Biology.
2025 DDTwo SC Career Readiness Assessment (Levels 3-5) Highlights
- 74.4% of DDTwo students received a Career Readiness Credential outperforming the state average of 69%.
- 35.7% of DDTwo students earned the highest two levels of achievement.
2025 DDTwo WIDA ACCESS Highlights
- 12.3% of DDTwo’s multilingual learners became language proficient based on the WIDA exit criteria. This outperformed the State’s 11.5%.
