“Teachers have the unique opportunity to positively influence their students’ lives. They point students in a direction to look but not what to see. Our Teachers of the Year in DDTwo exemplify those traits and I couldn’t be more proud of their dedication to the profession and our community,” said Dorchester School District Two Superintendent Dr. Shane Robbins.

Each Teacher of the Year will submit a nomination packet to the district, and five honor teachers will be chosen by a selection committee. A committee of community members and educators will select the Dorchester School District Two Teacher of the Year for 2024 from among the five honor teachers. All Teachers of the Year will be honored at a celebration in May. The highlight of this event will be the announcement of the 2024 Dorchester School District Two Teacher of the Year.

The District Teacher of the Year will represent Dorchester School District Two in the South Carolina Teacher of the Year program in 2025.
