Dorchester School District Two is thrilled to announce that Oakbrook Middle School has been designated a 2026 National Association of Middle Level Education "School to Watch" by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle Grades Reform! 

This prestigious honor recognizes schools that shine in academic excellence, student support, social equity, and strong leadership—and Oakbrook is leading the way! Of all the newly recognized and re-designated schools in South Carolina, OMS is the ONLY middle school in the Lowcountry to earn this national distinction! 
Principal Bentli Lewis shared that this national designation reflects the hard work, dedication, and heart of the entire Oakbrook community—where every student matters, every voice is valued, and excellence is the standard.
