Brent Hamric Appointed as New Principal of EEMS

Mr. Hamric brings more than two decades of experience in public education, including service as Assistant Principal at Fort Dorchester High School since 2019. He previously held roles as an Instructional Technology Specialist and teacher at both Summerville High School and Fort Dorchester High School. His teaching career began in Tennessee with Metro Nashville Public Schools before continuing in Williamson County Schools.

 

Mr. Hamric earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Lipscomb University, along with a Master of Education in School Administration and Supervision. He later obtained an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Superintendency from The Citadel.

 

“I am incredibly honored and excited to step into the role of principal at East Edisto Middle School!” said Mr. Hamric. “I cannot wait to work alongside our incredible students, families, faculty, and staff to foster a joyful, supportive community where every student is encouraged, challenged, and empowered to succeed.”

 

“Mr. Hamric brings both a strong instructional background and a deep understanding of the East Edisto community,” said Superintendent Chad Daugherty. “He is a dynamic leader who prioritizes student success and creates strong, collaborative school cultures. I am confident his leadership will help East Edisto Middle continue to thrive.”
