Mr. James Plymel
Hello, my name is James Plymel, and I am the 6th grade math teacher for the Wranglers Team. I graduated from Summerville High School in 1984. Then I enlisted in the United States Army. Upon returning from Operation Desert Storm in Iraq where I served as an Infantry Squad Leader conducting combat operations with the 101st Air Assault Division, I completed my military enlistment and enrolled at the College of Charleston. There I received my Bachelor of Science, Cum laude, in Elementary Education. I was honored to be selected the GMS Teacher of the Year for the 2006-2007 school year. I am currently a member of the GMS Academic Achievement and Awards Night Committee.
I love hiking with my two daughters, kayaking and gardening on my family's farm. My two beautiful daughters, Emma and Olivia, are both entering their Junior year. Emma is in the School of Nursing Program at Clemson University. She is a member of Clemson's Rock Climbing Club. Olivia is in the Early College Program at Summerville High School. She enjoys reading and lifeguarding in her free time.
