Outside Art Opportunities
GATEWAY: A challenging 15-day program for artistically talented students in grades 3-8. It is held on 5 Saturdays throughout the school year and two weeks in June. Students may apply for one of the following arts areas: creative writing, dance, theatre arts, visual art, vocal music, instrumental music, or band. Applications are due in the fall of each school year, followed by an audition. Students who are accepted into the program do not have to audition on subsequent years, although an application must be submitted each year. Cost: $100
GATEWAY applications and auditions have already ended for the 2018-19 school year. I will upload a link for the application and GATEWAY meeting dates each fall.

- Super Saturdays will be held at the new Rollings Middle School of the Arts. The Summer Program location is TBA.

- All program hours are 8:00AM - 2:30PM.
STARTS (Students Turning to the Arts) is an eight-day, half-day summer arts program for current first- and second-grade students who live in the Dorchester District Two attendance area. The students will explore four areas of art: music, drama, dance and visual arts. Certified teachers and/or local artists will teach the classes. STARTS is held in for two weeks in June, 8:30am-12:30pm Monday-Thursday. Cost: $95. Applications
The camp will be held June 13 - June 23 at Rollings Middle School of the Arts. The program hours are 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The cost per child is $95, which includes a specially designed program T-shirt. Spaces are still available, but enrollment is restricted to 80 applicants. Registration opens in May and there are 80 spots available (for all of DD2). I will pose a link to the application when it becomes available. Program lcoation is TBA.
