Culinary Requirements


  • Students are expected to have a great time learning about the world of Culinary Arts through our various culinary classes. Safety of our students, comprehension of techniques and general food safety operations are our key areas of focus. Students have the opportunity to start with no knowledge or experience in how to cook for themselves to being able to properly and safely prepare food at home and function safely in a foodservice operation. Foodservice Operations are businesses, institutions, and companies responsible for any meal prepared outside the home. This industry includes restaurants, food trucks, school and hospital cafeterias, catering operations, and many other formats.

    Below are some of the required documents that students need to submit in order to have the most success in our culinary program. Please download and review these documents and have them submitted as early as possible. They can be submitted in class or submitted via email to denngreen@dorchester2.k12.sc.us.
