We have made it to the home stretch!  Students should have submitted distance learning assignments for art class.

On the March Choice board--students were asssigned 4 activities to complete.  These activities were due April 1.

On the April Choice board--students were assigned 16 activities to complete--for art/music/PE combined.  Please email all three teachers when finished.  Due May 1.

If you have not submitted your work from March and April, please do so ASAP, or let your fine arts teachers know you submitted work with the paper packet.

Please remember to include your child's name and class with all correspondence.

The May Choice board is for student enrichment, and you are not required to submit assignments for a grade.  I am happy to give feedback, however, if you would like to send work.

Video lessons are posted in the STREAM channels for JPES, and Live classes are being offered weekly.

Please check the schedule tab to see when your child may log in for live art classes with Ms. Hill and Ms. Graham.

Links to join the meetings will be emailed to parents, and shared on the teams pages prior to class times.

Thank you for all of your support during this time of distance learning and eLearning.

Please feel free to contact me with questions, concerns, or to share your child's beautiful artwork!

Bio:

This is my 8th year teaching art at Joseph Pye Elementary School! I began my teaching career in 2004, right here in DD2.

Prior to teaching I worked in management and made paintings on the side.  I am so happy I made the move to teaching!

Here at JPES, I teach 22 classes, with approximately 500 students.

In my free time I am a busy mom of two boys, one in elementary and one in high school.  I also teach part-time for some local arts programs in the tri-county area.

I studied painting and art history in college, and enjoy painting with oils and watercolors.  I also love technology, so I tend to incorporate that into my work as well!

Teaching art is awesome. I love sharing the history of world cultures through visual art, and listening to all the cool ideas students have for their own personal work. It's very rewarding to watch a student turn an idea into something amazing!

See you in art class!
