Interlibrary loan |
Students may borrow books from other schools in District Two or from the State Library system. |

Fax service |
Student have access to a fax machine at no cost for local transmissions and very little charge for long distance. |

Photocopying |
A color copier is available in the media center at a cost of ten cents per copy. |
|
Laminating |
Student may have items laminated at a cost of ten cents per linear foot. |
|
Electronic production |
A production station complete with PowerPoint, scanner, CD-RW, and high speed access to Internet allows students to be creative in homework assignments. A digital camera and video capture features will be added soon. |

ITV/ETV |
A building distribution systems allows us to record programs from ITV and local stations for playback to individual classrooms or school wide. |
|
Cable in the Classroom |
Access to educational programming on cable television is provided courtesy of TimeWarner Cable. |
|
Word processing |
Students may borrow one of two AlphaSmart word processing units to complete assignments at home. (Parent permission required) |
|
Typewriter |
Students have access to two typewriters that can be used in completing scholarship and college applications. |
|
Video camera |
Students may videotape presentations needed for class assignments. |
|
Ellison lettering |
The PTSA and the media center purchased the Ellision press and 3" letters and other die students may use. |
|
College/Career Room |
Students have access to college catalogs and college/career videos that can be taken home or viewed in the the college room. |
|
School store |
Students may purchase school supplies from pencils to posterboard to computer disks at cost. |
|
Reading Counts |
The media center sponsors the READING COUNTS program that encourages students to read books on or above their reading comprehension level. Tests on available titles are available in the Writing Lab. |
|
Electronic Bulletin Board |
Daily announcements can be seen on channel 21 on every television connected to the building distribution system throughout the day. |
|
Study Skills Pamphlets |
A variety of pamphlets are available free to students covering taking notes, listening, learning styles, critical thinking skills, college checklist, plagiarism, research, and more. |
|
MLA citing |
Students are given a sample MLA style sheet to help them properly cite resources in their term papers. The media specialists will also help students with MLA citing. |
