Goals of the Freshman Academy

· To reduce the number of freshman failing

· To reduce the number of freshman referrals

· To maintain a high level of student involvement in school activities

· The maintain the high attendance rate of the freshman class

· To use the freshman year as a time to work on individual academic improvement

· To use rewards and punishments when and where effective to motivate students

· To partner with parents in helping students succeed
