The following are our celebration dates: (Block 1) Feb. 18th and 19th (Block 2) Feb. 24th and 26th (Block 3) March 4th and 5th Most importantly, the students will be jumping to raise money to benefit the American Heart Association’s fight against heart disease. Jump Rope For Heart promotes the value of physical activity to elementary school children while showing them they can contribute to their community's welfare. Jump Rope For Heart... · Is a fun event! · Encourages community service. · Is an educational program for elementary school children. · Raises money to fund lifesaving research and educational programs. · Helps students learn jump-rope skills. · Teaches students to set and achieve goals and discover that they can make a difference! This is a time when children can establish the foundation for movement skills. These are also the years when positive learning experiences can help establish a positive attitude and appreciation for participating in regular, daily physical activity for life. But the best reason of all to join this event is that kids love it! |
