 Welcome to Family Literacy!

The Family Literacy Program of Dorchester Two is designed to respect and support parents in their role as the first and most important teacher of their children. Family Literacy Coordinator/Parent Educators serve as a liaison between home and school offering programs for children age birth through four years old. Once children have begun school, the Family Literacy Coordinator/Parent Educator provides office hours to consult with parents on a variety of issues, such as parenting and behavioral concerns and to offer a resource library where parents and children can check out educational toys and books. Early Childhood Education is the first step in a child’s educational journey and it is through literacy that we are linked to the world. Please feel free to contact me to discuss how our program can support you as your child begins his or her journey.
