Hello Wonderful Third Grade GATE Parents!
We have had a great year and we are very proud of our third (almost 4th) graders!
Here are a few important reminders of upcoming events that we wanted to be sure you know all about:
Tuesday, June 2 Tryouts for a school-wide Talent show; One act per class only! (Students in the class will decide who gets in – sorry but only one) Wednesday, June 3: $1.00 for our Luau Party is due today (flyers have been sent home) Field Day 9:30 – 11:00 NO FLIP FLOPS! Wear sunscreen and bring water bottles. Thursday, June 4: A Storyteller is visiting us! Year Long Awards at Ashley Ridge High School at 6:30 PM (All of our students will get an award) Friday, June 5: Luau 12:30 – 2:00 (Parents may come, but we will put you to work!) Monday, June 8 Talent Show (about 12:30, we think) Tuesday, June 9 Dismissal at 10:30 AM; Report Cards Issued |

Book Report Options: Due May 21—29th. 1) Make a Power Point presentation: It needs to have this information – Title of Book, Author, Characters, Setting, Plot (Major events, problems/solutions). Add pictures to illustrate a favorite scene. 2)Make a diorama: It needs to have a scene with major characters. Write up a description of the scene to go with it. 3)Write an oral report with: Title of Book, Author, Characters, Setting, Plot (Major events, problems/solutions) Draw a picture to go with your speech. 4) Make a poster about your book: Title of Book, Author, Characters, Setting, Plot (Major events, problems/solutions). Draw a picture illustrating your favorite scene. 5)Any other ideas? Talk to me about it! |
