Multi-Skilled Technical Career Training Program
Advanced Technology Services (ATS) and Greenville Tech are accepting applications now for the Multi-Skilled Technical Career Training Program. The program starts June 15. Application deadline is May 15.
Students learn fundamentals in mechanical, electrical, fluid power, and troubleshooting in approximately 40 weeks. The program includes classroom and hands-on lab training. The skills learned allow students to maintain machines in the highly technical and automated manufacturing industry.
Upon successful completion of the program the student will receive a Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance Occupational Certificate from Greenville Technical College with approximately 39 semester hours of college credit. These credit hours can be applied toward a two-year associates degree. Additionally, those who successfully complete the program will have the opportunity for employment with ATS.
After completion of the MST program, associate level technicians can begin their careers with ATS at a minimum of $16.50 per hour. However, previous education, experience and cost of living are also considered when determining starting pay and level. As skill level increases and experience is gained, the earning potential will increase from this starting point. Our top level positions within the technical maintenance career path without a 4-year degree can earn between $60,000 and $70,000 per year without overtime.
